"One Globe One Flag" Poster Exhibition







INTRODUCTION
The aim of 'One Globe One Flag' International Poster Exhibition is to raise the level of awareness in the importance of togetherness in overcoming multi-dimensional problems in the world. The globe and flag are physical attributes in universal symbolism that posses implicit meaning. 'One Globe One Flag' is a concept that respects international social, cultural and geographical diversity in order to give birth to a series of interpretations that imply enthusiasm, aspirations and awareness in order to create a better world-together.

'ONE GLOBE ONE FLAG' FRAMEWORK
The works to be exhibited are 100 posters from international graphic designers who are invited based on their reputation and capability in the graphic design industry and partly through a selection process carried out by curators. The theme will take on mutually-respecting differences in order to create a better life on earth. The message given can be interpreted freely, is not intended to discriminate against any individual, religion, culture, race, ethnic group or political alignment of a country.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
FGD Expo in cooperation with Adgi (Indonesia Design Professionals Association) respectfully invites you to participate in an international poster exhibition that will present the works of professional graphic designers from various countries in the world.

CRITERIA AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Posters are individual works that have never before been published. Final size is 80 x 120 cm. Free manual technique or computerized or a combination of both. However, at the time of final collection, in the form of digital file. Digital file must be submitted in PDF (actual size, high-resolution RGB print mode) at 240 pixels/inch. Storage medium is CD/DVD ROM.
Please enclose fully-completed Participant's Form and Curriculum Vitæ or short résumé as well as a high-resolution self-photo.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
Selected participants should send a digital file in the form of high-resolution PDF file together with fully-completed form.
The Committee will produce the file as a poster ready to be exhibited. The deadline for submission is 30 May 2007. The works can be sent in a low-resolution PDF file format to: ogof-selection@adgi.or.id Participants who pass the curation process will be selected, notified and instructed to send the final artwork via post or FTP( www.rapidshare.com ) A maximum of three works may be submitted and only one will be chosen by the Committee to be exhibited.

PEOPLE-CHOICE AWARDS'
During the 'One Globe One Flag' poster exhibition, visitors will be encouraged to vote for their favorite posters. The Committee will award Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies to three most-popular posters on the closing day of FGD Expo 2007.

THE NATURE OF THE ACTIVITY
This activity is self supporting and non profit. As far as possible, there will be sponsors to finance it.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Copyright of each work belongs to the participant in the exhibition. The Exhibition Committee has the right to use the work only for the purpose of promotion and information about the 'One Globe One Flag' International Poster Exhibition 2007. If a participant wishes to donate his/her work for social campaigns, he/she may indicate it in the Participant's Form.

DATE AND PLACE OF EXHIBITION
The 'One Globe One Flag' International Poster Exhibition 2007 will take place on 8–12 August 2007 to coincide with FGD Expo 2007—the largest graphic industry exhibition in Southeast Asia-at the Jakarta Convention Center.
